John Rudick, Founder and Owner

The founder, John Rudick, started his career in Financial Planning with a passion for outdoor sports. That passion led him to Varsity Gold Fundraising, the leader in Discount Card Programs. As a leader within Varsity Gold he learned that fundraising success can only be achieved by focusing on service first and using the best possible products to achieve their goals. With this clear focus on service first, there was a personal drive to ACCELERATE the industry and bring it to a new level of SUCCESS. Finding ways to create fundraising opportunities that raise more money with less time and energy spent is the secret to his success. John truly appreciates the hard work and dedication that all of his clients have for their groups, kids and families. He has dedicated his company to supporting those efforts.

With over 22 years of sales and service experience, John has accomplished a lot in various industries. Previously he was a partner of Pinnacle Technology Solutions, the leading IT recruiting and contracting services company in the Capital District. While there he helped to lead Technologists in their quest to be leaders of their industry. He is the co-founder of Capital District Java User's Group, a technology think tank designed for leaders of technology in Albany to learn from each other and grow their industry within computer development. He was also a co-founder of Techapalooza, a once a year, 3000 person celebration in Albany designed to promote and celebrate all the technology advances in the Capital District.

John enjoys his personal time outdoors as much as possible spending time with his high school sweatheart and wife, Heather. They are very dedicated to supporting their hometown of Malta and have built Mountain biking trails that the town took over and fully support now. They often spend time up in Lake Placid on the weekends or down in Brooklyn where Heather spends her time during busy work weeks directing a Successful fashion company in NYC.

Matthew Sprissler, Fundraising Coach

Matthew Sprissler Joined Accel Sports in 2010. A graduate of Saint Michael's College he enjoyed working at a Country Club outside of Boston as the purchasing manager for many years. He was part of the team that provided food services for the 1999 Ryder Cup matches that were held at the Country Club. In 2001 he moved to the Capital District and married Meghan O'Toole, both having graduated from Saint Mike's. They have settled in Malta with their two daughters, Mary Grace and Mallory that attend the Ballston Spa School district.
